Dr. Atwal attended two universities, the first in his native India from which he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Surgery, followed by New York University from which he received a Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 2003. Having practiced in California and Cortland, NY, he purchased his own practice in Central New York. An active member of the American Dental Association , The New York Dental Association , and The Fifth District Dental Society , Dr. Atwal continues to upgrade his skills and knowledge to provide the very best in dental care. He enjoys his free time with his lovely wife and his two active children.
Faith ~ Office Manager / Insurance Specialist / Scheduling Coordinator
Faith graduated from OCM Boces Dental Assisting program, becoming board certified in 2009. She has been a team member since. In recent years she transitioned from assisting to the front office. Faith is passionate about making her patients feel comfortable through all their dental needs. Her greatest joy is spending time with her husband and children.
Alex ~ Scheduling Coordinator / Insurance Verification Specialist
Alex graduated from OCC in 2014. She joined Atwal Dental Care in 2020. She brings much joy to the front office and keeps her coworkers & patients laughing. She has 3 cats, Tuxedo, Grey, and Cheeto who are the loves of her life. Her hobbies are going to the gym and paddle boarding in the summer.
Marta ~ Registered Dental Hygienist
Marta graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene Education from the University Of Bridgeport in 1979 and moved to central New York the following year. Certified in laser periodontal therapy, she works to help her patients achieve & maintain good health. In her spare time, she works on home improvement projects with her husband and deals with the chaos of 4 kids and 2 grandkids.
Allison ~ Registered Dental Hygienist
Allison graduated from SUNY Broome in 2005 with an Associates Degree in Science, Dental Hygiene. Over the past 20 years, she has worked in General Dentistry and Orthodontics, where she became passionate about Myofunctional Disorders and Breathing, offering therapy to correct facial and oral muscular disorders. Allison is also certified in Local Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide and Laser periodontal therapy. When she is not helping patients, she is spending time with her spouse and their daughter, Luna, dog Yuki, and cat Marvin. They love traveling when they can, the Dominican Republic being their favorite place.
Leanna ~ Registered Dental Hygienist
Leanna graduated from OCC in 2003 with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. For 8 years, Leanna primarily practiced at a Pediatric Office, where she acquired the skills needed to make coming to the dentist fun for young ones and adults alike. Because she has an inquisitive mind and isalways eager to learn new things, she completed a Bachelor’s of Technology Degree from SUNY Canton in 2015. Since then she has also obtained several certifications in various fields, all while staying true to her faith.
Sam ~ Lead Dental Assistant / Invisalign Specialist / Sleep Coordinator
Sam graduated from CNS in 2011 and became a dental assistant in 2014. She joined Atwal Dental Care in 2019. Sam is our Invisalign specialist, and she is the sleep coordinator for Atwal Sleep & Wellness. Her dental knowledge and patient care makes her a great team member. She enjoys spending time with her family, her dog Lanie and cat Kingsley.
